The One About Seasonal Pins | Episode 21

The One About Seasonal Pins | Episode 21

September 17, 2021

Today's episode Kaycee and Amy are chatting about Seasonal Pinning and where you should be focusing on going into Q4.

If you make seasonal and/or holiday products, now is the time to start planning and pinning them. It seems early to think about the holidays in September, but let's dig into:

  • how soon should you pin
  • how much to be pinning
  • and what types of pins to create

What we are seeing in trends right now: Halloween weddings, up 132%!

We agree that your Halloween content needs to be pushed out by Mid Sept, maybe even sooner than that. The best way to think about it is around 45 days before an event or holiday.

When using Idea Pins, for example you have a sale in an Etsy shop, you could pin an Idea Pins about 2 weeks ahead to jump ahead of the competition. Idea Pins are prioritized on Pinterest and they are searchable. If using music, make is soft elevator type.

If you don't have new seasonal content, refresh your older seasonal content!

Fall and Thanksgiving decor, ideas, pumpkins, leaves, football all trending now!

Make sure to do your keyword research ahead of time before pinning your content. Pinterest is now giving you the most popular keyword phrases in the search bar. Use those given phrases if they apply!

Listen in to learn more about seasonal pinning, and more with Amy and Kaycee.

Kaycee had some great family time. Her grandfather passes within the last year and celebrated his life in a memorial. She tells us how wonderful it was to remember the good times they had together. She went boating and fishing, and really enjoyed fished.

Kaycee has really been motivated to work on HER! So she is killing it with the workouts! If you want to, go follow her on TikTok and get encouragement with self-help.

The One About Self Help | Episode 13

The One About Self Help | Episode 13

May 21, 2021

When to know that you need rest? I think we all know when that point is, that you just are burnt out, things are not working and you find yourself getting flustered over small things.

Kaycee --- how I know I need rest & chill mode.

  • Lack of sleep and having constant dreams about work
  • In the episode of Gilmore Girls where she calls and leaves voicemails to herself about the stuff, she needs to do at the inn.  Well, this is where she does her brain dump.
  • Frustrated
  • Get sick
  • Moody & snappy with family ( kids)
  • Things stop working-- try and fix something then I find more and more things wrong or not working and that’s my wait a second step back moment.

Take a break -- In the mornings I like to drink coffee alone before the kids wake up and I write down my to-do list & then I pull out my She reads Truth bible and read a couple of pages then I take 10-20 to mediate if I have the time.

Notebooks & Bible can be found on Amazon

Amy--

When I get frustrated and grumpy… it‘s like it builds up and I can’t let my brain settle on weekends. I have tried to set boundaries but I can’t shut them off. I didn’t go into business to work 24/7.  Growing pains, but at what point do you say...NOT TODAY!!

I walk away from my computer.  Watch some Netflix, walk the dog. Go outside.  Most of my downtime is in the car at soccer practice.

We order out for dinner if I am not feeling it.
